Intercept anti-tarnish strips are compatible with a wide range of metals and gemstones, including silver, gold, opals, emeralds, amber, and pearls. They won't scratch or damage your items, making them the perfect choice for long-term storage and shipping.
Simply place the Anti-Tarnish Strips inside jewelry boxes, pouches, or zip-lock bags to provide protection against tarnish and corrosion. In addition to protecting precious metals, Static Intercept® strips also offer anti-static properties, making them ideal for safeguarding electronics from electrostatic discharge (ESD).
Static Intercept® technology, invented and patented by AT&T/Lucent Technologies, permanently neutralizes harmful gases that cause tarnish and corrosion. For best results, store your items in a dry container with a Static Intercept® strip. Please note that existing tarnish and oxidation must be removed through physical or chemical cleaning before using the strips.
Under normal conditions, one (1) 1"x1" Intercept Technology™ strip should provide protection for a container measuring 30 cubic inches (length x width x depth). These non-outgassing tabs do not emit any gases or coatings like other anti-tarnish products.
