Lubricant supplies for watch work. Select against the requirements of the individual watch, component and material, using the product specification and relevant service guidance.
Choosing a lubricant supply
Identify the requirement
Record the watch or component reference and the lubricant specification required for the task. A general product name does not establish the grade, viscosity, material compatibility or intended application.
Read the available product
The current selection contains a pot with sponge pads pre-filled with silicone grease. The listing states a 58mm pad width; lubricant grade, fill weight and seal-material compatibility are not specified. Do not assume that a gasket-lubrication product is a substitute for a specified movement oil.
Clarify before choosing
If a required property is missing, contact JTR with the product code and the specification you need to confirm. A grease purchase or application does not establish a watch’s water resistance. Follow the relevant service and testing requirements for the individual watch.
